Mozilla Firefox 17 is a web browser developed by Mozilla Foundation , available for download in full install version for Windows platforms from legacy sources. Firefox 17 released with updation of Social API with ability to use Facebook messenger. With this edition users can get rid of automatic execution of vulnerable plugins as now plugins will play only if clicked.

With this edition Firefox drops support for Mac OS X 10.5 and all future Firefox updates would require atleast OS X 10.6. With larger icons Awesome bar is now really awesome.

There are many bug fixes done in this release including page scrolling issues in webpages with fixed headers, Pointer lock issues in web apps, and performance optimization in new tab pages.

Known bugs in this release are Firefox crash while starting in locked profile, Slower rendering of GMAIL window, and Firefox updation prevents Microsoft System restore functionality.
