Mozilla Firefox 28 is a web browser developed by Mozilla Foundation , available for download in full install version for Windows platforms from legacy sources. This version of Firefox was officially released on 2014-03-18 for public access and a brief summary of important updates and change log pertaining to this edition can be read below.

Firefox 28 has been released with few new additions including implementation of VP9 video decoding, Opus in WebM support, Horizontal volume control in HTML5 audio/video applications and notification support for Mac edition.

Among the security fixes, SPDY/3 has been implemented while dropping support  SPDY/2 however servers without SPDY/3 can still negotiate http/1 with out penalty. 

Though text rendering on Windows 7 Platform remains unresolved, there is a workaround for this bug in Windows 8.1 platform. Echo cancellation error remains unfixed in this edition also.
