Mozilla Firefox 44 is a web browser developed by Mozilla Foundation , available for download in full install version for Windows platforms from legacy sources. Firefox 44 is released with many new changes and removing support for few performance degrading APIs and fixed couple of security vulnerabilities. Among the new additions notable one are Push Notifications for getting info from your favorite sites, Brotli Compression support for HTTPS encoding, Customized pixel selection during screenshot captures.

In the Multimedia segment WebM/VP9 video support is added as new functionality for those systems which does not support MP4/H.264 codecs. Warning pages coding has been improved and relevant certification errors & untrusted connections are displayed. Now Firefox no longer validates secure certifications through Equifax Secure Certificate Authority.

Till this version screen savers are not disabled while watching videos specifically in Windows XP/Vista OS and the same has been corrected now. Among the API drop outs front RC4 chiper support, Direct2D 1.0 have been removed.
