Mozilla Firefox 47 is a web browser developed by Mozilla Foundation, available for download in full install version for Windows platforms from legacy sources. With Firefox 47, Mozilla has introduced many new changes especially in the multimedia handling capabilities of Firefox.

With the support of Google's Widevine CDM extending the Streaming services to switch from Silverlight to HTML 5 Videos. VP9 video codec is enabled in high end devices running Firefox. Without Flash player, now Firefox can play  YouTube Videos in HTML 5. 

From the security point of view, now HTTPS sites are not cached while browsed pages are navigated from back/forward clicks. 

To boost the performance of the browser, there are many bottle necks has been removed from the code. With removal of extension library, add-ons relied on them will no longer work. Xrender support has been withdrawn which was causing lag in Linux OS.
